Vantara stands in the countryside at Malavali, a few minutes from Lonavala and within reach of the old trekking trails. The house is built around a lap pool, with a tiled patio along one side and glass running the length of the living room, so the water is in view from nearly every room.
Inside there is one long air-conditioned space holding the lounge, the dining table and a full-size pool table, with the open kitchen at one end. Two of the four bedrooms carry twin beds for families or groups sharing, and the other two a single large bed; all four have air conditioning, warm wood finishes and windows onto the garden or the pool. The bathrooms are modern, with hot and cold water throughout.
